Kaspersky is a global cybersecurity company founded in 1997 and headquartered in Moscow, Russia, with a holding company registered in the United Kingdom. It develops antivirus, endpoint protection, threat intelligence, and managed detection and response products for consumers, businesses, and government organizations in more than 200 countries. In 2024 the US Commerce Department prohibited the sale of Kaspersky software in the United States, placing the company on a restricted-vendor list.
